When you have a small job, part of the evaluation process in selecting a contractor involves determining how skilled the contractors workers are that are going to do the work. If it is the same workers, then it is unusual to find one worker that can do everything well. If such a worker exists, that still does not mean that you will get that specific worker doing your job as they are sure to be in high demand. The only way to gain a good understanding of the cost adjustments involved in a small (or larger) job is to either get specific information in this regard from your trusted professional or to ask each bidder to estimate the extra cost (or for a larger job the cost reduction) that they have included due to the size of the job.
